We have opened our pre-registration for both of our upcoming Backyard VBS. You can register your kids by following the links below;

Troy— July 8-10 at the Spirito home (Rockingham Dr.) from 6:30-8p

Pleasant Hill— July 29-31 at Newton School shelter from 6:30-8p

What’s Happening at Gospel? (May 27

Announcements from Bulletin:

  • Jerald Yost Elder Candidacy—The elders at Gospel Community wish to present Jerald Yost as an elder candidate. During the next few weeks, we invite your feedback in regard to Jerald’s potential as an elder.
  • Outreach Opportunities— We have a number of opportunities for missional engagement that we invite you to consider;
    • Backyard VBS—We will be hosting two backyard VBS this summer. Our first will be held in Troy (July 8-10, 6:30-8p) and the second in Pleasant Hill (July 29-31, 6:30-8p). Flyers are available in the back of the auditorium for you to invite friends and neighbors. Those interested in registering their kids can visit www.gcctroy.com.
    • Backyard Initiative—We are inviting members and members in process to consider hosting a barbecue for the purposes of mission. Information is found on the back table.
    • Sunday Invites—We have a stack of invitations on the back tables. We invite you take a handful and pass them out to your neighbors
  • Family Meal— Please plan to join us next week for our monthly Family Meal after the service. We’ll provide a light meal for anyone who cares to come.
  • Backyard VBSVolunteers—We’re looking to fill volunteer positions for both of our Backyard VBS dates. Please see the back tables for sign ups.

  • Final Friday Summer Kick off—on May 25 from 5-8:30 p, we will be hosting some kid’s games at the Summer Kick off at Prouty Plaza. Volunteers should contact Chris Harshbarger.
  • GCC Youth—Anyone high school or junior high age is welcome to attend our youth gathering today from 11:30a to 3p.

Announcements from May 13;

  • Men’s Meeting—Join us Saturday May 19 at 7a for our last week discussing Gospel Fluency(chps. 13-conclusion). A light breakfast will be available.
  • GCC Youth—Anyone high school or junior high age is welcome to attend our youth gathering Sunday, May 20 from 11:30a to 3p.
  • Jerald Yost Elder Candidacy—The elders at Gospel Community wish to present Jerald Yost as an elder candidate. We have taken steps to review Jerald’s character, convictions, competencies, and chemistry and have found him to be a candidate for eldership. We also want to leave the next 6 weeks as a time to invite your feedback concerning Jerald’s character. We want to know if he has not met the qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

If you’re interested in attending our Missional Training this Saturday, theres still time to sign up! Please let us know by midnight tonight if you plan to attend. The details are as follows;

Where: Gospel Community Church (214 W. Main St.)

When: Saturday, May 12 from 8a to 12p

Details: Lunch and childcare provided.

  • Missional Training—On Saturday, May 12 we will be holding a missional training from 8a-12p. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please let us know you plan to join us by signing up at the sign-up sheet in the back of the auditorium.
  • True Woman ‘18— Women’s Ministry will be attending True Woman ’18(Sept. 27-29, in Indianapolis). More info can be found at http://www.truewoman18.com. Please let us know you plan to attend by April 22 or contact Margaret Yost for more info.
